Say Hi to the KRYPTONITE team!

I know....weird name. But hey...it has some meaning.

And it has grown from there.

These gals, as well as myself have come together to support one another
and have QUIT sweets and treats.

Here's some specifics.

1 month. OR 3 months.

You can choose to try it for 1 month or for 3 months.

In case you want to know...I'm doing it for 3!

So what specifically do I mean when I say sweets and treats??

Sweets to me is chocolate bars, cookies, cakes, brownies, icing (yes - I will eat icing if it's in the fridge) and any sort of baked pastry that is in the "treat" category.

Someone asked me about things like muffins. Muffins do not all have the same face. If it's a whole wheat blueberry muffin or something along that line....then I don't consider that a dessert or treat. If it's a chocolate muffin with chunks of chocolate then yes...that to me is like eating cake. So it's to your discretion - but be smart. This is about cutting back on sugar but not crazy. Some asked why I am not just quitting sugar all together. Well that's because sugar is in EVERYTHING. It's in fruit (obviously I am NOT cutting fruit) it's in bread, it's in ketchup, it's in pretty much EVERYTHING. Those aren't my weaknesses. My weaknesses are the biggies. SWEETS. So when you are deciding if you should eat it or not...ask yourself is this a sweet/dessert or considered one?

Also ask yourself...is this MY weakness?

We have ONE exception. If you have a birthday. As in it's your day of your birthing...(Doesn't that sound smartish?) you are permitted to eat (if you so wish) some birthday cake. JUST that day and try to not go crazy!

My ONLY other rule is this...

IF you fall off of the wagon....YOU don't GIVE up!! YOU KEEP GOING! Just pick yourself up and try the next meal or next day. This is not about failures. This is about gaining control of a sweet addiction.

We started March 1st 2010. But if you wish to join us...just send me an email and you can join the group. We have a group email going and I randomly will email you with my thoughts and any tips or tricks I find along the way.  It's never too late to start.

So if you have this issue and you want to gain control over your KRYPTONITE email me myvisiblevoice at hotmail dot com. And just put KRYPTONITE in the subject line.
