Without going into a lot of detail...not that I want to be private...I just have limited time until "Thomas the Train" is over.
I have Adrenal Fatigue. Which by the title you can imagine that I suffer from extreme fatigue.
Now here's the other thing I suffer with...which a lot can relate to. Now boys...this is where you either want to check out...or get your pen and paper out and sneak it into some "baked goods" for the females in your lives.
I become a CRAZY person for a week before, during and for a few days after I have my period.
(see...told you boys...in or out?)
I'm emotional, I'm a jerk, I'm not me at all. And I'm even MORE tired.
It's almost two weeks a month that I feel like this. That's half a month, half a year, half of my life, GONE to feeling crazy and crappy.
And then for this half of my month, I let other things slip...like taking care of my adrenals and my food allergies, because heck...I feel cranky...BRING on the crappy food!
So finally I chatted with my Naturopath and I said...listen, I'm a crazy person when my period comes. It's taken me YEARS to see the pattern and realize how long it lasts, and post baby it's a bit worse, and I do NOT want to live my life this way.
So she was like...okay, lets get you un-crazy and feeling better.
So she gave me a list of vitamins to buy. And I anxiously awaited. And alas only one of them came and I started to take them right away.
Then I started to feel the stir...
The Crazy Kristi stir.....
So I frantically emailed her and told her that "the crazy is coming!!!! the CRAZY IS COMING!!!" and she said, "shut up and be quiet you lunatic and stop emailing me!" No she didn't. She's way nicer than I am. She actually said "Well just take double of the vitamins that you've got now to at least get your energy up and that will help you out a bit and by next round of PMS crazy Kristi, your other vitmains should be here an into your system."
Would you now like to hear of this AMAZING miracle drug?
It's a B vitamin.
How simple huh?
Like I've been taking B vitamin's off and on for years but for some reason...THIS one is the one!
I've taken, B12, B-complex and B 6's. She said, "go to this place and get B-100's" and that will cover all of your B vitamins.
I don't know if it's this brand. I don't know if it's this combo of the B vitamins....but within DAYS I was feeling better. My energy level was sooooo much better. I've been dragging my feet, taking naps back in the day when I worked, constantly, annoyingly complaining to anyone who would listen, all my life about how tired I am. And I can say...I feel sooo much better.
And I am (sorry, too much info for most) just sending my "cousin" (is that what the kids call it these days?) off today and I'm still not "CRAZY KRISTI". I had a few little moments...but I could see that I was in the midst of those moments and had a little more clarity. So I anticipate that this will just get better and better.
Now there's more.
The one that hadn't gotten to me that is probably going to make the most difference next time is this little goodie...
The PMS formula. Now this isn't for pregnant or nursing Moms...so you'll have to wait.
I got these a few days before D-DAY and started taking them right away so I have a feeling those helped with crazy me.
But the PMS formula is suppose to help with your emotional hormonal state.
But energy me...I think that has a LOT to do with the B100's.
I also think that the other vitamin's she has me taking, help a lot as well. Because I've gotten lazy and not taken them all. And I, after awhile, start to feel lousy again and can't figure it out and the first thing she'll ask is "are you taking your vitmains" and yeah...always helps when you just keep taking your vitamins.
I take a slew of stuff and I find that this time around...consistency has been what's made even more of a difference. And I'm listing these things because I feel like it's all what we should (as women at least) take for whole health anyway.
I take the following:
Vitamin D 1000 1/day
Vitamin C 1000 1/day
Multivitimin 1/day
B100 2/day (for now)
PMS formula 2/day
2 Tbsp's of ground flax/day
Calcium with Magnesium (see package for amount per day)
I am also suppose to take fish oils daily but they make my stomach a bit yucky so I'm working up to those because it may be just the brand. But you should take fish oils daily. See packaging for how many daily, but I'm suppose to take 3.
The last thing I take is for my adrenals. They are called TAD.
If you want to learn more about Adrenal Fatigue you can check out information on it here. I am working on a post about how I got to Adrenal Fatigue so you'll have to watch out for it.
So that's the scoop.
My vitamin's that are making my life great!
Oh and diet is huge but I'll go into that on a different day...like the day I've mastered a better diet. Which I think is totally possible now because of my B100's!
Feel free to ask any questions.
OH and if you want an easy way to get your vitmains to you quickly...

They had my stuff to me within DAYS. All the way up here!!!!!!!!
Have a happy healthy day!
I'll be off now to keep being un-crazy Kristi! I'm hoping crazy Kristi can become a mythical character...maybe I'll be her for halloween next year.

I am awful when it comes to vitamins...I take a multi and calcium but I should probably take more. Sounds like you have quite the mouthful to take!
that's great that you have found something that helps! i have to agree, i take a multi B complex and if i run out and don't take it for a few days, i see a HUGE difference in my energy levels. it's a big help indeed!
My mom gets B 12 shots and swears by them and the doctor told her that taking certain B vitamins is a waste because they can't be absorbed in the stomach.....I don't know! I'm willing to try what you are on, I don't get crazy when my "cousin" comes but I will try the others I am always tired
Wow, that's awesome. I may have to consider that. Although, I had my B12 checked recently, and the bloodwork said it was high. Don't want to overload. You may want to check out TriVita. They make a sublingual B12, B6 and folic acid. Just stick it under your tongue til it dissolves. It goes right into you bloodstream through there, (kind of like nitroglycerin when you have heart problems)TriVita has a lot of awesome products. GLad you're feeling better.
I actually tried the TriVita but I like these ones a bit better...
