Exhaustion...

This is me today...

And yesterday...

And the day before...

And most days...

I've said before I have fatigue issues.

There's not much I can do about it medically right now while we're here.

I'm tired on a regular basis.  It's very frustrating.  It's very lonely.  It's VERY annoying to me as well to those around me.

But I'm especially tired after a toddler who woke up two nights in a row having wet the bed...

Oh and he still wears a diaper and not it doesn't bother me that he's not potty trained yet...just sayin'.

But that's not why I'm writing this.

I want to know what brings you out of a tired funk?  How do you cope on the days that you're dragging your feet.?   My whole world is affected when I'm THIS tired.  Weather really can make it worse and it's a wee gloomy today.

I just woke up from a 2 hour nap.  And I do feel better.  But as I go to get ready for work you want to be up and att'em and ready to make my night go good and fast.  And then I think...man I just wanted to be up and att'em all day today too.

So what do you do on the days that are hard?

Keeping in mind people...that I've quit sweets.

The magic chocolate man can't help me now!!

I suffer with fatigue too....so much so that I had my thyroid checked. And nothing out of the ordinary showed up. of course right?! So EVERYDAY (and I haven't missed a day yet and I started Jan 1st) I RUN EVERY MORNING!!!! I alternate between 15 mins and 30 mins and honestly my energy has increased. And If I am tired, I go outside and walk. It sounds crazy but after I run and shower I am wide awake and ready to go! p.s. I am better at running than I am at avoiding sugar :)

I don't think I can be of much help, because when I get really tired I go look for the chocolate man!

Wow, running every day....that's awesome! I just started running a few weeks ago, and I can already tell the difference in my energy. It drains you the first few days, but after that, you don't feel like you can get through a day without a good morning workout!!
I just need to work on the avoiding sugar part now!!

Wish I had some advice for you. Right now I feel constantly sleepy but that's due to baby. Normally I am pretty wired most of the time. Maybe just trying to have a really good bedtime routine will relax you so you'll have an awesome sleep and feel refreshed in the morning????

I agree with the exercise comments. I am absolultely dragging come Sunday afternoons, it's the only day I don't work out, and I just feel lazy and tired.

i saw that readers might also like the peek with lindsay, probably because the system knows i'm a tiredaholic too. i'm trying out some various drinks and herbal stuff right now because it is getting ridiculous. my kids rarely wake up and if they do it's done within minutes, i work out at least 4 mornings a week, i try to keep busy but still tired a LOT. tired as in can't make the 20 minute drive home from lethbridge without pulling over for a 5 min power napper. lame-o me. i thought that if i did quit sweets i would feel better, so don't tell me it's not working for you, now i'll never quit. i need some magic.

Okay I think you need to trick your body. It has gotten use to napping so I think you need to not nap and perhaps you'll have more energy. You'll probably have to do it for a couple of days and your bound to feel worse before you feel better. Then the kicker is you'll have to get to bed before you get your second wind. Oh and if you do get tired try getting some fresh air.

blast some good music (mike jones [song=animal] is my fave of the moment, but it is ever ever changing...) and shake your booty.
seriously. seriously. shake shake shake.
goes with the exercise suggestions I guess but sometimes I can't muster a run but a little boogie time sounds oh so good...

Ha ha ha yes the boogie time is right up my alley! It's hard to fit in exercise around here with our working schedules so I just try to move around more all day. And once we move we'll both sleep better because hot husband won't be on call as much.

Off to boogie!

Try this out: TriVita Sublingual Vitamin B-12. It is a tablet that dissolves under your tongue. They are available online @ trivita.com I tried them and they work amazing for energy. I am also trying just a brand from a store because they are significantly cheaper but they do not work nearly as well. I am using 2 a day to make it work better but the TriVita ones-only need one a day and you feel it almost right away.

I actually used to use TriVita but it's just way too pricey. I use b100's and they are awesome. They totally bring my energy up. I was kind of hoping for some tips on lifting your spirits when you're tired because sometimes I just can't help that I'm tired. My husband gets phone calls through the night because of his job...my son wakes up...sometimes it's just lack of sleep. :)

believe it or not exercise, even when I am so tired and don't want to do it. But when I do it and get a routine going I feel better after a week or so and have much more energy. but starting the routine is hard especially when I just want to sit and do nothing. Even with a goo 30min cardio workout will lift my energy up after a week or so.

Hi Kristi;
Have you ever been checked or diagnoised with Fibroymaliga or chronic fatique syndrome? If you don't get stage 4 sleep it will make you very tired and sore. That is the stage where you get all your energy. I have similar problems with lack of energy. I now taking something that will help me get that stage 4 sleep. Some foods make me tired. I am trying to stay on a gluten free diet. It helps as well.
Maybe you have too much on the go..
Hope you feel better soon.
Love Anne
