Lil' E turns ONE

I'm a little late on this but this is for the family peoples back home that want to see this cute baby of mine turn ONE!!
I did the super cute theme I've been seeing all over Pinterest of "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".
Of course there was a TON of stuff that I had hoped I could do.  But real life set in and I was pleased with how much I was able to accomplish.
And that only happened because my Mom was here to help me do it all and to keep me sane and remember that I love to actually do this sort of thing.

This party making/planning junk.

Like my banner?  I may have made that myself.  If anyone wants one email me :)
Turning one is a big milestone.  And in our house our babies seem to walk before this day so it's super cute to see them all of a sudden transform into a big boy lickity split!
Sometimes I do rainbow cakes and am glad that winging it works :)

This is one of the very few family photos we have out there.  Problem with being a "photographer" (because I'm not one at all - hence the quotation marks) is it's hard to get family photos...and ones of myself that are decent.
Don't let him fool you...I think he liked the cake.  Both my kids were not fans of the messy cake eating.  That's what happens where you're a clean freak wanna be like me.

See  above - Cute Kid when he turned one...he was like......uh...get that stuff off my finger please!

Wow they look alike in these two photos!  Don't always see that much resemblance.  Only when they cry and throw a fit...then they look a like :)

All in all it was good times with good friends and family and I hope he had fun.  I also learned that Christmas prep has to be done WELL in advance as I like to keep Christmas things out of November so that it doesn't blend in with his birthday.  Everyone deserves to feel special on their big day!

In other news...I've signed up for Shelf Reliance as a consultant.  It's a way for me to stop putting food storage on my New Years Resolution list.......AGAIN!!!

I'll chat more about it someday soon when I know more about it myself.  But here's a video if you're looking to store your food long term and want it to not suck and be able to use it now.

Just sayin'.

I just had a Thrive party! LOVE their food. It's so expensive though. I LOVE the freeze dried raspberries and strawberries!

I think it's worth the money. I could say so much about it but not enough room in this box!

Cute birthday party, I love that your kids don't like to get messy.

How adorable!!! I am a huge Eric Carl (however you spell his name) fan!! I did a preschool unit with it for my kids this fall and it was fun. That was a quick year! I can't wait for the day I can meet that little cutie pie! Cute decorations and what a yummy cake. And, how nice to have your mom there. Don't we envy people who get to live close to their mom!!!
