A New Year's Goal...already in the works!

So I've had something on my New Year's list since the first year I got married. That was almost 8 years ago. This year no more excuses. This year I'm not putting it off. This year I'm not going to worry or stress about it.

I will NOT be entering the year 2013 having to put this on the list......AGAIN!

Food Storage!!

Enter....

I posted briefly about this on my blog a few weeks ago where I shared this video.

Go ahead.

Watch it.

I can wait....

(Yeah I'm lame)

I'm posting about it again because I have sooooo many people with questions, interest and excitement that I just have to!

Because I'm not the only one who wants to GET THIS CRAP DONE!

Shelf Reliance has just opened up business in Canada on December 1st.  It's pretty exciting for us here in Canada who want to get our food storage, want good quality and an easy yummy way to do it.

So I signed up as a consultant with the hope of just getting my food storage. And if any friends or family want to be able to order it I can do it for them.   If in the end all I get is the food (which is so so  very good) and my year's food storage then I'm happy.

My sister in-law was telling me of her battles, efforts and GREAT frustrations on trying super hard to get her long term food storage going.

She told me she's been preparing and praying for this answer.  And for reals...so have I.   I had no idea where to start with food storage.  I don't have the time to be running all over the place looking for food, to then purchase proper cans and containers to store it.  And to then take the time to do the canning etc.... AND we like to eat fruits, veggies and whole foods in our house.  It's hard to find "storable" food that is good for you.  I didn't want to store food that we're not going to eat!!!

'Cause that's umm...dumb.

To top it off the recommendations for long term food storage usually are, oats, beans, wheat etc.  I'm sorry...but if you have to live off of your food storage...you're hurtin' enough!!!  You don't want to be eating that food.  And you want your children to have food they love and are used to having that is GOOD for them in times that are hard and scary.

That is truth my friends.

Because so many people are approaching me about this I'm going to do something I said there was no way I'd do....I'm going to have the occasional party.  Yep I said occasional.  I have to work myself up to that.  If there is big demand (which I'm scared there is already EEEEK  LOL) then I'll do more as long as it works with my family.  Not into sales.  Which may surprise you by this post. Ha ha!  But I'm not really trying to sell anyone on this.

I just feel so excited and so passionate about it.

It may or may not help that I received my first shipment today of food and I want to curl up in a ball with a movie and down a #10 can of freeze dried pineapple and freeze dried corn and down it!

It is sooooo freaking good!

It's like "word to yo MOTHER" good.

Just sayin'.

Okay...that's all I'm going to say today.

I know I always hope to do more postings on this blog.  So when I say this, I hope that I can squeeze in the time to do it....but I PLAN to do a series on this.  Just so you can have information.

(I may even do videos because...it's just easier)

I know the first thing that people barf at me (yeah I said 'barf') is the price.

Well I'm going to cover that in my next post...because it's really doable.

*********

In other news I have tons of things I've been doing around this house...as has that super fine husband of mine....that I want to share.  But I gotta take photos and I'm hoping to get to that someday...you know...soon-ish.

toodles!

PS- If I haven't said enough and that ticks you off and you want more information...email me and we can chitty chat about it.

Yeah it is! I'm super in love with it all already. Like soooo excited to try it all and cook with it and have it stored. And to stop going to the store so darn much and stop throwing out food that goes bad!!! PUMPED!

Sure does look good! I love the packaging and the food actually looks good, which is new for dried food. Can I come live with you and you can just get enough for one more person???

After living up north I would have thought you'd have this food storage thing down to a science. It certainly does look yummy. What I like most is the shelves. Are they only compatable with Thrive?

Carolyne- The Thrive products were made specifically to fit their shelves. Part of why they developed Thrive was so that people would be able to store better food on their shelves. It's all the same company :)
