LOVE this! I love keeping it real posts, they are my favorite! The other day I actually ran a quick errand to a girlfriend's house (with my daughter) and I was still wearing what I slept in - yeah, I'm that nasty - long story. Anyway, my daughter was like "Mommy's wearing her jammies." Nice. I wanted to crawl under a rock. So I appreciate knowing I'm not the only one. Your boys are beautiful and they matter MOST! :)

I read the whole thing and my house is a disaster 80 percent of the time and that may even be generous. My kids watch tv and play a butt load of video games. I wish I could stay home but I have to drag my butt to work so loughy comfy clothes are out of the question. I clean my car two or three times a year when I can't stand looking at the squished food and frenchfies on the floor. Someday I'll have it all together when my kids are out of the house and then I'll miss the messes and fingerprints of motherhood.

I'm also the type that wants my house to be perfectly organized...I guess it's the librarian in me. I've given up on it though. I'm glad I read this post because it made me feel better about giving up on it! My kids watch a butt-load of TV and I won't apologize for it...TV is the best invention ever.

Well until this week, my last post was August 2011, my house is a disaster and I have older, as in teenaged children and I get dressed everyday because unfortunately, I can't show up to work in pjs, sigh! I was 40 when I realized that I don't want to apologize for my life, my messy home and my less-than perfect lifestyle. It takes too much effort, lol! Thanks Kristy for keeping it real as usual. You write only what many of us feel and live everyday. That's one post I won't need to write about as you've done such a marvelous job! Your house sounds like a home of love and happy children...that's all that matters at the end of the day!

I love this post! I like to read your blog because it is so real. I have always wanted to be able to write well enough to blog and have the time to do it as well, but for me it is not my time yet.
I felt like reading this was like reading about my own life (minus wearing jewelry every day). And I often feel like other moms are doing better than me also. You are not alone!

Yup, that pretty much sums it up. Thanks for your honesty. It's nice to be reminded that I'm not alone in my endeavors to have a clean home, but am thwarted by my kids on a daily basis, or that I don't get dressed everyday. You rock.
